Overall personality:

Hayden is always up to trouble, and purposefully screws up thinks she is forced to do. She is usually cold and harsh towards people, eventually warming up to ‘friends’, to the point where she becomes sarcastic and more teasing (her idea of amusement can be quite cruel though). She tends to give off the impression of being stuck up and believing she’s better than everybody. She is so concerned with being her own person and going against everybody that she often says and does things she really regrets later. She is also a trill seeker, which adds up to the “stupid things I shouldn’t have done” list.

FAMILY:

Father – Karl Odon Kalua

Karl is a free spirit, which is why his job consist of so much traveling. He doesn’t really dig the whole ‘working’ part, but the traveling makes it worth it. He still believes himself to be a part of today’s generation of teens, and has some crazy ideas of fun overall. He always makes sure to send some relatively crazy souvenirs back home, complete with the most retarded postcards, though he’s been reducing the craziness factor ever since poor little Ayanna was terrified by a pop-up giraffe he sent once. Although he does get free time during important holidays, unless work gets very important, he is very set into getting at least three days of the year free; the birthdays of his wife and his two daughters. If it is impossible for him to get home in either of those days, he will find a way to celebrate it with them one way or another; one year they celebrated through the laptop, which resulted in little Ayanna nearly smearing the screen with cake frost while trying to feed her dad. Above everything, he likes to sign everything ‘KK’; he thinks it’s an awesome nickname.

Mother - Bronwyn Kalua

Bronwyn is a sweet, caring mother, though she can be a bit slow when it comes to understanding situations. She puts a lot of trust in Hayden and is instead quite concerned with Ayanna. As far as she knows, Hayden lacks so much determination she won’t be doing anything reckless too soon, and her little daughter is so fragile she is going to break out of anything. The latter is quite true, and Bronwyn is often according Ayanna plenty of attention because she is terrified nothing is ever going to change. Bronwyn works at home, and she is very protective of her things, and very fussy about the places she stores them in. She likes watching soap operas and to say she gets very involved is the understatement of the year.

Sister – Ayanna Kalua

Ayanna is a little thing of currently 5 years old, and she is very sensible and overall fragile. She gets really scared of silly things, including the family cat, even though he is anything but harmful. Ayanna has crying as a reflex for basically anything, which often gives her a weak physical state, so she also spends a good amount of time sleeping. She dislikes water but is actually quite fond of sharks (so far she’s only seen images, but her liking seems promising). She is also quite perceptive, and although she’s able to speak coherently most of the time, she prefers to be quiet more than anything.

Cat – Sparks

Sparks is a very much fat, lazy cat. He has been around for a while, as much as Hayden can recall, so he’s not particularly young. He is often too lazy to go get his food himself, and other than eating most of what he does is lounging around and sleeping. Hayden affectionately calls him ‘meatball’, ‘dead meat’ and ‘huge furry lump of uselessness’. She also questions whether he’s sleeping or dead whenever she’s given the chance, though more often as a joke.

Various Information:

• Hayden doesn’t mind ‘borrowing’ stuff, even though she comes for a family that has a decent amount of money. It comes a bit easy to her ever since that time in middle school where she did it for actual attention, though she likes to ignore that fact.

• She will not under any circumstances take orders. If given a task, she will likely perform if poorly if at all.

• She likes to get on other persons’ nerves by doing the exact opposite of what they tell her to do, and she quite likes teasing people and being sarcastic.

• After her transformation, she gets a habit of swimming daily during the morning, just to see how far she can push it before somebody notices.

• She really likes hanging out at the Java Hut, even if it’s for doing nothing; even though the owner was reluctant at first, they learned to accept she’s not going anywhere.

• She has a habit of visiting people she knows personally, and often destroys at least something on her first day visiting.

• Even though she often seems so nonchalant and has an arrogant attitude, the person she cares the most about is her little sister.

• She dislikes nicknames; unless she's the one giving them to people/animals.

• She doesn’t think much about the future or her possibilities because she thinks there’s enough time for that.

• Her grades are average because even though she’s too lazy to actually work and study, she’s clever enough to scoop up passing grades, and occasionally a bit more.

• She uses nail polish as glue supplier.

• When she doesn't have literally anything to do, she takes naps.

• She uses Sparks as a warm, fuzzy pillow for her feet, because they're always somehow cold at night.

• She always hits her head on the door frame while going to the bathroom, in the mornings.
